Another Bloody John Rambo Trailer - They Just Don't Stop! September 8, 2007 Source: Break.com by Alex Billington The buzz on John Rambo (aka Rambo IV) has been insane since we first posted the promo trailer back in May. Following that was a burly batch of great photos and now there's another new entirely brutal and awesome trailer. You know you want to watch it! John Rambo is quickly building up into one badass film and it looks incredible. Any of you who saw Shoot 'Em Up this weekend may be still hyped off of the non-stop action in that and this looks like it'll live up or even beat Shoot 'Em Up! Horror Trailer Friday: Japanese Remake One Missed Call August 31, 2007 Source: Yahoo by Alex Billington The studios are jumping on the release of Rob Zombie's Halloween this Labor Day weekend to throw every other upcoming horror film trailer into the mix. Yesterday it was The Mist, then this morning it was The Signal, and now it's One Missed Call. This remake from a 2003 Japanese horror film titled Chakushin ari stars Ed Burns and Shannyn Sossamon and doesn't look like anything extraordinary. They're saving it for dumping early next January, so take a look and determine if you'll be making your way to the theaters once we hit New Years Day. Trailer for Katherine Heigl's 27 Dresses October 4, 2007 Source: Yahoo by Alex Billington Did you enjoy The Devil Wears Prada? Good. Now look at this cast: Katherine Heigl, James Marsden, Ed Burns, Malin Akerman. If all of that got you excited, then you're the perfect person for 27 Dresses. Just like The Devil Wears Prada, a title with "dresses" in it immediately means it's not really for men, unless you're like me who enjoys the occasionally sappy romance. This cute rom-com is about a woman who's been a bridesmaid 27 times but never able to be successful in a relationship of her own. I leave the rest to the trailer, as it really sells the story well. What is Cloverfield? Intense New Extended Clip Revealed! December 13, 2007 Source: CloverfieldClues.com by Alex Billington Just when I thought the day was starting to wind down, I stumbled across what may have been the most exhilarating discovery of the entire month. We've all seen the latest trailer for Cloverfield, but the question still remains - What is Cloverfield? J.J. Abrams and the team at Paramount have released a special widget for your use which contains an extended clip. It's the intro scene with Rob at his party and the Statue of Liberty's head, but it's the complete scene without any edits or cuts. This is the most intense and exciting thing I have seen in a long, long time. You need to watch this right now! Just click play below to watch the extended clip from Cloverfield. J.J. Abrams is also hosting a special contest for whoever gets the most "grabs" of this widget will win a special early screening of Cloverfield in their own hometown. Freakin’ sweet! Click on Grab This above to add it to your page on Facebook, MySpace, your own blog, or wherever you want. The more places the better! And if you want to enter the contest, if you click on Grab This it will provide a form for you to sign-up and the codes needed to put this on your own page. I still don't know what the f**k the monster is, nor does anyone out there. This will remain a mystery until January 18th. The only thing I can tell you is after watching this clip, I am PUMPED. I can't wait to see this movie. It's already a classic in the making and it looks like it is going to be intense as all hell! Cloverfield is directed by Matt Reeves (The Pallbearer, "Felicity") and written by Drew Goddard ("Lost" and "Alias"). The film arrives in theaters on its designated day when it also actually takes place, January 18th, 2008. Worth Watching - Nov 16: Teeth Trailer - Cult Sundance Hit! November 16, 2007 Source: IGN by Alex Billington I've been talking Teeth since I caught the world premiere at Sundance in January and was raving about this new cult classic in the making (read my review). The problem is this trailer is awful! This movie is way more comedic than it is scary and way more lighthearted (sort of) than the trailer makes it out to be (at least). And what the heck is with the rose as the title background?! I mean, women connect with this movie a lot more, but it is partially horror and they need to market it to everyone! Either way, you need to check this out. Need I remind you what it's about? Here's a hint: genital dentata. Lionsgate sold the rights sometime this year and now Roadside Attractions is putting it out in theaters around February of next year. This trailer comes courtesy of IGN, but I hope another (better) one comes around soon. Must Watch: Michel Gondry's Be Kind Rewind Trailer! August 8, 2007 Source: Yahoo by Alex Billington If you haven't already heard about it, then here's your first look at the brand new full length trailer for Michel Gondry's (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep) new film - Be Kind Rewind. It's another quirky comedy this time starring two of my favorite on-screen comedians: Jack Black and Mos Def. I've got real strong feeling this could be one of my favorite movies of the year. As they say in the trailer, this looks like its got a lot of "heart and soul," even while being a comedy. You DON'T want to miss this trailer - so kick back, relax, and enjoy! I'm getting nostalgic even just watching this trailer and remembering that old mom-and-pop VHS store that we used to rent from back in the day. This is a movie that's made for movie lovers from the brilliant mind of one of my own favorite filmmakers. Even the Billy Preston "Nothing From Nothing" song is a perfect fit - damn does this look good!
